Nathan and Christine’s Wedding at the Indiana Country Club in Indiana, PA last weekend is one I will remember for a long time. The Bride and Groom found me through mutual friends, we met for coffee, and they decided to book me! I am so glad they did!
Nathan and Christine have the sweetest story of how they met. Nathan was working for Homer Center School District while Christine was doing her student teaching there. Nathan hooked up Christine’s internet one day, and they hit it off immediately. Christine says she had the best internet set up out of all of the student teachers! They went on their first date at Twisted Jimmies to watch the Penguins – Flyers game. After meeting most of Nathan friends, they all shared a pitcher of Labatte and enjoyed the game. My kind of date!
After some time of dating, Nathan was working at the KCAC at the time. He said he needed to stop in one evening to “fix” something… When Christine walked into the arena, it was pitch black. A video started to play on the jumbotron. At the end of the video, she met him down at the center court where he got down on one knee! <3 <3 <3
Nathan and Christine are caring, thoughtful, adventurous and fun-loving. They were so easy to work throughout the whole day, their love for each other is so obvious. This is my favorite when working with my couples!
Our day started at the Hilton Garden Inn where the guys and girls got ready in separate rooms. The girls had all of their updos done at JCPenney Salon, and the makeup was done by Bella Spa and Beauty of Indiana Pa. The light pouring in the rooms was just gorgeous. It makes the photography go so much smoother with window light like that. Christine was surrounded by her friends and close family while she slipped into her dress, and they helped with all of the finishing touches. Meanwhile, the guys were having a blast down in their room! They had shots of Jamison together to celebrate, and got dressed all in about 5 minutes!
The ceremony was in the Lodge at College Lodge Park in Indiana PA. Nathan and Christine share a love of Disc Golf, so they decided to have their ceremony here. They decorated with candles, and lights. The ambiance in the Lodge was so warm and inviting. Everything was just gorgeous here!
After the Ceremony, we took the family photos inside by the fireplace. After we finished up with the family, we headed out to the grounds to take the bridal party photos and the portraits of the Bride and Groom. Nathan and Christine Had a friend bring their pup Arrow the Chocolate Lab. Let me tell you how adorable he looked in his bow-tie. See photo below… If you guys don’t know me, I really love when couples include their dogs on their wedding day. One of my favorite photos from my wedding day is with my dog Heide. Photos are the best memories! After we finished at the Lodge, the Bride and Groom asked if I would be willing to run out on Philadelphia Street with them for a Bridal Party Photo. Annnnd I said yes. It’s one of my favorite pictures from this day. It meant a lot to them, and it really turned out to be a cool photo! So we made a pit stop on Philly Street, waiting for Jimmy Stewart to tell us to cross, and we nailed it in about 10 seconds!
Once we finished up there, we headed to the Country Club for the reception. Let me tell you how GORGEOUS those decorations, lighting, table settings, just everything was. Well, just look at the photos. Once again, Mix Master Mike kept the party going all night. The dance floor was always packed! He knows what he’s doing!
During the reception we snuck outside for some evening portraits. We justtt missed the sunset, so I pulled out my handy dandy speed light! We captured some amazing images on the grounds with a kiss of light between the mossy trees.
Through and through, Nathan and Christine had a beautiful day to celebrate with friends and family. The threat of rain was quick enough just to be good luck during the getting ready process, and the rest of the day was absolutely perfect.
Nathan and Christine, not often do my couples take the time to write me a thank you note. You two are truly so genuine, and kind hearted. I just want to say thank you for including me on one of the biggest parts of your lives. I loved meeting your dog, and the rest of your family too! Thank you a million times over for being awesome, and enjoy your new adventure together across the country!
