Typically, shoots in the middle of winter are either freezing, or lacking in snow. We have had the strangest weather here in Indiana, PA, and we completely lucked out with Samantha and Matt’s engagement session! It warmed up to a balmy 43° for the past two days, and somehow didn’t melt all of the snow! So, not only was it comfortable shooting weather, but the snow made for such a gorgeous backdrop at Blue Spruce Park in town here.
Samantha and Matt’s story starts at the Pittsburgh Zoo where they first met at a wedding. Fast forward, and after a full day of planning and coordinating with Samanthas sister, Matt proposed back where they first met. When Samantha arrived at the sting ray tank where Matt was anxiously awaiting her arrival, she immediately thought something was wrong. He was so nervous, but still got down on one knee. It was such a whirlwind of emotion, Samantha barely knew what was going on. After he finally asked “Will you marry me?” she of course said “Yes!”, and that crazy day finally made a whole lot more sense!
From the first time I met Samantha and Matt at our consultation, I knew we were going to be able to work together seamlessly! Matt’s easy going hilarious attitude, and Samatha’s sweet, reserved demeanor made working with these two so much fun. They are so in love, and were almost constantly smiling at each other. This was my last shoot while pregnant, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to work with. Thank you guys for being so patient while I caught my breath and waddled around, I can’t wait for your big day this November!
