I had the time of my life this past Friday at JP and Alyssa’s gorgeous PNC Park wedding! They pulled out all the stops on florals, food, and the views are to die for. This venue was so fitting for their wedding since their first date was over a couple of beers and watching a pirate game at a dive bar!
I just love these two as a couple. They couldn’t have been any more different from eachother, but such a perfect match. JP loves to hunt, Alyssa has no interest in that. JP loves the Pens, Alyssa would take the Steelers instead. JP likes “kid food” like Mac n cheese, Alyssa loves sushi. Alyssa loves daring adventures like ziplining and rollercoasters, JP is afraid of heights! Since opposites attract, JP decided it was time to take it to the next level. He invited his brother and a friend of Alyssas to go out for dinner the day before Alyssas birthday. He was late to dinner (picking up the ring)… Alyssa NEVER opens gifts early. So when JP told her to open her “present” she refused. A few times… After some back and forth, she finally opened her gift, which was a wine bottle with a message on it that said “will you marry me?” when she looked down, JP was on one knee!
These two have to be the most relaxed couple I have ever worked with. Anything could have gone wrong, and they would have rolled with it. Stress was at a zero, and they were on cloud nine.
After getting ready in the hotel, they shared a beautiful first look in the courtyard there. We took photos of the two of them after that, and then headed to PNC Park for family photos on the field. What an amazing experience! Because of the red clay on the field, we had to tuck a sheet under Alyssas dress so it wouldn’t get ruined. After the family photos, we headed to the reception area. It was just amazing. From the centerpieces to the cupcake table, everything was just gorgeous.
After a beautiful ceremony overlooking the field, they cut Alyssas train off the dress instead of a bustle! What a way to mix things up! When they entered their reception, the dancing and fun didn’t stop. They did a greek circle dance. I have never seen that before! It was so cool to watch. Also, all of the guests had a Flash Mob planned and completely surprised the bride and groom. How fun is that? The Reception was full of so many surprises. JP and Alyssa had a choreographed dance, the father daughter dance followed with all of the fathers and daughters in the room, which brought tears to my eyes! It was so sweet.
The whole day was just amazing, the weather was perfect, and we got a nice cloud cover to make for gorgeous photos.
JP and Alyssa, I am so glad to have gotten to know you both! You two are so perfect for each other, and you literally have the best family and friends. That was THE most entertaining reception I have ever been to! I wish you guys so much happiness and love in your marriage!!
