I had the pleasure of shooting Justin and Halee’s wedding this past weekend, at Fairman Family Farms! It was my first time at this venue, and it was so beautiful. We photographed their engagement session about a year ago, and have been counting down to this day for so long now!
These two met in Junior High, and started dating ever since. I love high school sweethearts!! Turns out, Justin had actually worked on her parents house before they started dating, and they didn’t realize it until well after. Meant to be? After some time of dating, they had dinner at the Forks Inn in Ligonier. When Justin asked if she wanted to go to the “diamond” to take some photos and see the tree lit up, they headed over there with their friends, where Justin got down on one knee! Their friends took pictures The whole time.
We started the day at Halee’s parents house where makeup and hair was done, and the bridesmaids got dressed. After that we made our way to the barn to finish getting Halee ready. I was able to photograph all of the details and dress in the barn, it made for a great backdrop! After some help from her bridesmaids and mom getting ready, Halee shared a first look with her dad. The father daughter stuff always gets me! They are so sweet, and he just loves his little girl so much!
We went around back to take some bridal portraits before Halee walked- er rode a tractor down the aisle. We had a really cute onlooker- this giant horse that lives here! He watched us the whole time. We hid Halee away since Justin was going to be arriving soon. Once him and the guys arrived, we snapped a few photos of them getting ready outside.
The ceremony was so pretty, just a gorgeous view. Halee rode a tractor to the end of the aisle, where her dad met her and walked her down the rest of the way. Justin had the biggest smile on his face seeing his brides grand entrance! Luckily the rain held off through the ceremony and family formal time. We were able to photograph both sides of the family for them to cherish for years to come!
When we finished up with the family, we had fun taking the bridal party portraits. They were having so much fun! We saw some dark clouds in the distance, and we weren’t too worried. The storm happened so quick! We had about 10 minutes to take portraits of the two of them in the field, then headed up to the covered porch to finish. All day, the timeline went exactly to plan, and we ran early. This is almost unheard of! They were able to make their grand entrance a little early, to get the party started!
The food was amazing, the cookies and cake were beautifully plated, and the entire barn was decorated. It was stunning! They cut their cake, had some heartfelt toasts from the bridal party, shared first dances, and had an awesome bridal dance! Those are always so much fun to shoot!
These two had a such a perfect day from beginning to end! I really don’t think there was one thing that went wrong. Even the rain was a blessing, it cooled everything off immediately.
Justin and Halee, thank you so much for letting me photograph your engagement session, and your wedding! I can see how happy you make each other, and also you have an amazing family! I have enjoyed working with you two so much. Goodbye for now, and I hope you two have an entire lifetime of love and laughter.
