Dave and Jenn’s wedding was one of the coolest weddings I’ve been lucky enough to shoot. Jenn reached out to me about photographing her wedding from mutual friends, and as it turns out, I graduated with Dave! Small world. Anyway, these two met at the gym as Dave was passing by the elevator. He finally decided to say hello, and they started dating! After getting to know each other Jenn came home from work to a trail of rose petals that led to their chocolate lab. He was wearing a tuxedo and a sign that said “will you” and their Bulldog wearing a dress and sign that said “marry me”. Behind them, Dave was dressed in a suit and down on one knee. Obviously she said yes. 🙂
We started the day at Jenn’s parents house with the girls, and Karen started at the hotel with the guys. Everyone was very relaxed, and got ready. After that, we headed to the hoodlebug trail for Dave and Jenn’s first look. They were so relieved to see each other for the first time. Dave had been texting Jenn all day, and she was so excited to see him. We did their portraits along the trail, and then headed to a nearby field to mix it up a little bit! Once we finished up, we headed to the ceremony where they said their “I Do’s” and became husband and wife!
The reception was so impressive. We walked up to the front of Disobedient Spirits, and they had a welcoming sign for the bride and groom and of course the rest of the party. The bar was closed to everyone else. The lights strung from the ceiling made for the perfect ambiance! The table settings were so rustic with moss, and wood, and the candles completely made it. Everyone had a fantastic time playing pool, giant Jenga, and socializing. I have to say too, the dinner was absolutely fantastic. Colleen’s Cuisine did a great job!
We ended the evening with a portrait outside of the distillery, and said our goodbyes. Dave and Jenn are such a sweet couple. I didn’t know Dave well in school, but from spending the day with these two, they are absolutely perfect for eachother. I barely had to tell them how to pose, they clearly mesh together so well!
Dave and Jenn, Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer! I had a wonderful time with you and your friends and family. You two are really loved by everyone. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to document your beautiful day. I wish you two the best of luck, and hope you enjoy as much happiness as this life has to offer! Enjoy Ireland!!! XOXO Jaclyn
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand..
This short blessing celebrates life’s core values.
Love, life and happiness;
may your troubles be few and your blessings plenty.
Her grandmothers ring!
An old Italian tradition… Something red to ward off evil spirits!
