The last time I saw Matt and Samantha I was 9 months pregnant with our newest addition. We shot their engagement session in the middle of February, and they were so fun to work with! Read all about the proposal, and check out their engagement session HERE!
We had a rainy morning to start last Saturday, but the clouds cleared just in time. After I photographed all of the details, Samantha put her gorgeous gown on. Her mom and bridesmaids helped her with her jewelry, shoes, garter, and veil. One of Samanthas “must have shots” was a photo with her and her grandmothers photo. Im sure she was smiling down on her all day!
We headed outside for the father daughter first look. Yet another one of my favorite parts of the day! Sam’s dad was in awe of how beautiful his little girl looked. After they shared a sweet moment, we took a few bridal portraits outside of the house. Samantha and her girls hopped on the limo to head to the ceremony.
The church was absolutely gorgeous. Stained glass from here to there! They shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and were announced to the congregation. After the ceremony, we took the must have photos of all of the family before we went outside for the bridal party portraits. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were so much fun. They were the perfect cheerleaders for Matt and Sams wedding day.
We went on our way to the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh for the reception. We stopped outside, in front of the Clemente bridge for some obligatory shots. After that, we took the Bride and Groom to their suite, where we had an amazing view from their balcony. The sunset was so stunning, we spent as much time as we could there!
After portraits of the two of them, we headed to the reception space to celebrate! The decor was jaw dropping. The floral arrangements were so impressive, I could not stop photographing them! Everyone made their grand entrance into the reception, and Matt and Sam went right into their first dance as husband and wife. They cut their cake, and shared a piece without smashing it in each others face. (Wise choice, Matt!)
Once everyone had eaten dinner, Matt and Sam danced with her dad, and his mom. After that, we were able to shoot all of the fun dancing! The DJ did a fantastic job keeping the party going.
After we said our goodbyes, we headed to the staircase in the hotel for their grand exit, and it is so stunning. The marble, and the amber lighting is so beautiful there!
Every part of this day was so perfect, but most of all, filled with so much love and support from friends and family. I had been looking forward to this wedding since I met these two for their engagement session. I love how they interact with each other, and complement one another to a T!
Matt and Sam, I am sad it’s over, but I am so happy to say, congratulations to you both. I hope you two stay madly in love, and always laugh at each other. I truly think it’s one of the best parts of having a partner for life.
Best wishes! XX -Jaclyn
