When I first met Claire, I was so excited to shoot her and Sean’s wedding! We talked for nearly two hours about life, and everything in between. We did their engagement session, where I met Sean for the first time. I just loved their energy, and the way they interacted. These two are old souls, and being together is effortless. Check out their engagement session HERE!
This wedding day started at Claires parents house, where we shot her details, and got Claire ready for the ceremony. Claire shared a first look with her dad, and her bridesmaids. Her dad was so thrilled to see her walk down the steps! After that, we took a few moments to take photos of just Claire before the ceremony. Jill headed to the church to photograph Sean getting ready. Both Claire and Sean wrote a letter to each other which they read before walking down the aisle. I LOVE when couples share something special with each other on the day of the wedding. Everything is so hectic, it’s a breath of fresh air to take a minute and read a few words from your future husband or wife.
They had a catholic ceremony, in a gorgeous church with stained glass and incredible woodwork throughout. After they shared their vows, exchanged rings, and were declared husband and wife, they walked down the aisle, and were greeted by the congregation with bubbles and cheers outside.
We took a few photos in the church, then headed to the resort for bridal party photos. Let me just say, the bridal party was having a fantastic time on the bus! We switched trolleys, and got on to the seven springs ride to head to our portrait location. My favorite spot is a gorgeous stone bridge with plenty of shade. After spending some time with the bridal party, we photographed the bride and groom. This is one of my favorite parts of the day. Through all of the craziness of a wedding, there is time for them to snuggle and enjoy some time together with just the two of them (plus us).
We headed back to the reception, where they were greeted by all of their friends and family. The reception was incredible. The table settings, the chairs, the centerpieces, florals, EVERYTHING were just so beautiful. They shared their first dance, parent dances, and their cake cutting ceremony. After that we did their bouquet toss, and garter removal and toss. We had a great time shooting the dancing, and then the bridal dance. Another one of my favorite parts of the day!
At the end of the evening, we rounded up immediate family, and the bridal party for a sparkler exit. The ambiance was so lovely, as Sean and Claire made their way to the end of the line. Their loved ones cheered them on, and waved their sparklers! After the exit, we said our goodbyes and left for the evening.
We had the best day on Saturday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple. Sean and Claire, from your engagement session to your wedding, I have loved getting to know you both. Your family and friends were a BLAST, and we had such an amazing time at your wedding! Thank you for everything, and I hope you have so many years of happiness together!
